Virtual Credit Cards and their merits

Technology has changed the world for good. So many things are now accessible with just a click of a button or in this case a mouse.  Technology has made life very simple, bearable and convenient. There are however a million risks involved when carrying out transactions via the net. These include risks of financial loss and fraud which have become an upward trend in online transactions.

The use of virtual credit cards is a good alternative if you are concerned about using credit cards for online buying. The card is believed to be very secure because it only exists virtually. It is so secure that even if your credit number is captured from an online source, they cannot use it because the number given it only used once. The number given also expires quickly maybe for a few days.

The card is also secure because it provides security of your financial details. There are however some disadvantages of using virtual credit cards.

You can only use the card for online purchases. Virtual credit cards are only issued with a fixed value denomination, meaning you can load your credit just once. So, when you load, you must ensure you finish all the money because it not reusable.

Virtual credit cards are set to expire within a shorter time, and they cannot be used for any purchases after expiry. Despite some of the limitations, these cards are still a better option for paying for goods online because of the security they offer.
